Hello there, here are your weekly lifestyle delights, things I’ve discovered for you, enjoyed, pondered, done … ideas I've shared with my subscribers in June 2017.
Getting Your Skin Ready for the Summer …
It’s the time of the year again when you want to prepare your skin for the sun so that it radiates beauty & health.
In issue 16 of the Jeunessima Magazine nutritionist Karen Vago had shared a protocol that does exactly this.
The primary nutrients your body needs to support melanin production the amino acid L-tyrosine as a precursor to melanin and copper, vitamin B6, and vitamin C.
Ring That Tracks Your Health …
You might know that I’m wearing an Oura ring for over a year already measuring my health going far beyond most wearable trackers including the fitbit. With a price starting at $299 it is a little more expensive (but much more beautiful and less annoying) than e.g. a wrist ’watch’. If you’re looking for a more basic ring tracker at $199 you might be interested in the new motiv ring coming out in the US.
Let Your Face Radiate …
Ever since I’ve gotten this wonderful massage from my friend Hedda Adler in California, I’ve been intending to share more information about lymphatic massage.
Lymphatic massage is an excellent way to remove toxins from your face (and other parts of your body). To let your face be more radiant … and to reduce congestion and sinus pressure in the head Heather’s self-lymph drainage massage video is a good start.
If you want to go a step further, do Heather’s massage right until she finishes draining the ears (at 5:26 minutes).
Stop the video and follow Anesia’s massage.
Once you’re done, repeat Heather’s draining of the ears and follow the rest of Heather’s video. It might all take a little time at the beginning but once you’ve mastered the process, it will only take about 3 to 5 minutes in total.
And they’re well worth it. You’ll not only feel amazing, you’ll also look amazing for a long time to come.
Drink More Coffee …
I love those studies that prove again and again that drinking coffee is healthy. A study recently published online shows that 4-5 cups of coffee can reduce the risk for a certain liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) by up to 50%.
Quote I’m Reflecting on …
Being healthy is not a fad. It’s a lifestyle
